Social & Image — Shared Vaults Where No One Person Can Move the Money

X (Twitter)

A multisig is a shared wallet where several people must approve before any money moves. We built shared vaults into FairWins with zero company server: approvals live on the blockchain itself, and a tiny public bulletin board lets co-owners see what they're signing — every proposal re-verified inside their own app. 🔗 #multisig #web3

Most shared-treasury tools quietly depend on a hosted server in the middle — it stores proposed transactions and collects everyone's approvals, and if it disappears, coordination stops. FairWins has a hard rule against depending on a company server, so we built shared vaults using only the blockchain itself.

The new post walks through the ideas in plain terms:

  • What a multisig is: a shared wallet where several people must approve before money moves, so no single person — or single stolen laptop — can drain it.
  • How co-owners approve directly on the blockchain, so the chain becomes the record of who agreed — no off-chain middleman anywhere.
  • A tiny public "bulletin board" contract that lets co-owners discover and read a pending transaction, while each app re-verifies every proposal itself — so the board carries information but never trust. Plus a signed-file/QR fallback so the feature works with zero infrastructure.
  • One "operate as the vault" checkpoint that routes every money-moving action (wagers, payments) into the vault's approval queue.

We also cover the honest edge cases — like why a vault that wins a wager still needs group approval to claim, when receiving a refund doesn't.

If you've built shared-treasury tooling without a hosted backend, how did co-owners discover pending transactions?

Clean modern editorial illustration, isometric style: a translucent geometric vault shaped like a faceted glass cube floating at center, sealed by three interlocking mechanical keys converging from different angles, each key held by an abstract faceless figure standing on separate floating platforms connected only by thin glowing chain-links of blockchain blocks — no wires to any central server; a small radiant beacon beside the vault emits concentric broadcast rings carrying tiny document glyphs toward the figures, symbolizing a public proposal bulletin board. Deep navy and teal base palette with a single warm amber accent on the beacon's rings and the keyways, soft diffused rim lighting, subtle grid horizon fading into darkness, generous negative space, precise vector-like edges, fintech-engineering brand mood, no text, no logos, no watermarks. Aspect ratio 16:9.
