Social & Image — The Wager Lifecycle¶
X (Twitter)¶
A peer-to-peer escrow is really a careful set of rules over other people's money. FairWins wagers: a handful of clear states, two hard deadlines (accept within a month, resolve within ~6 months), several ways to decide a winner — and no state without a one-sided exit. Anatomy inside. 🔗 #PredictionMarkets #Web3

Informal bets fail in predictable ways: the other person never puts their money in, nobody has authority to declare the winner, the event never happens, or the money gets stuck. Building an escrow that closes every one of those holes is a design exercise in clear states and guaranteed exits, not just moving tokens around.
Part 1 of our Prediction Markets series walks through the FairWins wager lifecycle in plain terms:
- A handful of clear states (open → active → resolved / refunded / draw) where every state that holds funds has an exit needing no cooperation from the other person
- Two hard deadlines per wager — one to accept, one to resolve — capped so escrow can never be stranded indefinitely
- Several ways to decide a winner — named parties, a neutral arbitrator, or an oracle (the trusted referee that tells the contract who won) — each fixed at creation
- "Check, record, then move money" discipline on every payout, and why exits deliberately stay open even when the system is paused
These are skill-based forecasts on publicly available information; participants remain subject to applicable law. If you're building anything that escrows funds between parties who don't fully trust each other, the lifecycle framing here generalizes well beyond wagers.

Image prompt (Gemini / Nano Banana)¶
A clean modern editorial illustration in an isometric abstract-geometric style: a stylized circular flow of seven connected glass-like nodes arranged as a state diagram, with glowing directional arrows tracing paths between them — one bright path flowing forward through three nodes to a vault-like cube releasing two coin streams, and secondary escape paths looping back from every node toward a safe-return gate. Two small hourglass forms sit on the connecting edges, suggesting deadlines. Deep navy and teal base palette with a single warm amber accent lighting the winning path and the hourglasses; soft rim lighting, subtle depth-of-field, generous negative space, fintech-engineering mood, precise and technical rather than playful. No text, no logos, no watermarks. Aspect ratio 16:9.
